"From Generations of the “Cowboy Way” to a True Relationship."

I fell in love with horses when I was 15 after working at a stable. My great-grandfather and grandfather always had horses, and my dad grew up around them and had “broke” a few himself. He gave me my first horse as a Christmas present, and it was all new to me to have one of my own. I didn’t really know much. All I knew was what I had been taught — generations of the “cowboy way.” There was no real relationship, just forcing them to do what you wanted.

Later, I bought a colt that was born at the stables where I was working. I tried to train him using what I knew, which wasn’t much. I struggled constantly and came very close to giving up altogether.

Then I met Michelle, and everything changed. We went in a completely new direction, and I noticed a difference immediately. Instead of fighting him, forcing him to do things he didn’t understand, and becoming frustrated, we began building a relationship.

We both learned so much and progressed more in a few weeks than I ever thought possible, he even learned tricks. I am incredibly thankful that I met Michelle when I did. If it weren’t for her and Wisdom in the Reins™, I probably wouldn’t be involved with horses today.

She taught me how to build a true relationship with my horse, and because of that, everything is better.
